MELISSA ERIN SHIFF

(February 5, 1967 - October 3, 2025) Acclaimed artist, devoted mother, and treasured friend Melissa Shiff left an indelible mark on the world. Her fierce spirit, deep intellect, radiant beauty, impeccable style, and wicked humor live on in her son Sacha Kaplan Shiff. Anyone who was lucky enough to know Melissa will not be surprised to learn she fought relentlessly against health challenges she faced over her lifetime. Melissa passed away at home. She is survived by Sacha; Sacha's father, Louis Kaplan; her father, Allan Shiff; her brother, Lorne Shiff; a loving extended family, and a circle of friends who loved her deeply. She was predeceased by her mother, Helaine Shiff. Melissa was also a dedicated and loving daughter. A retrospective exhibition of Melissa's work is planned, and will be announced.
