BURNS, Michael Kevin
Peacefully at the Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga, on Saturday, March 9, 2002. Born in Toronto, April 1, 1941. Dearly beloved by his parents Charles Edmund Burns (deceased) and Mary Helen Dore Burns (deceased). Loving brother to Paul (Maureen Lyons), Julie (Larry Soden), Mary (Bill Smart), Jim, Peter and Anne (Mike Wiley). Proud uncle of Kathryn, Kristen, Mike, and Patrick, Minta and Sarah, Emily, Erika and Charlie, Joseph, Daniel, David, Kate and Margaret. Former mathematics teacher and principal at Basilian high schools in the Toronto Catholic District School Board (Michael Power/St. Joseph and Fr. Henry Carr Catholic Secondary Schools). Always generous with his time and talents, he had special patience and ability in explaining computer technology to his students, friends and the less gifted in his family. Special thanks to Dr. Samishema and to the staff at the Trillium Health Centre for their compassionate and skilled care. Friends may call at the RosarMorrison Funeral Home, 467 Sherbourne Street (south of Wellesley Street), on Monday, March 11 from 4-8 p.m. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 12 at 10 a.m. in St. Basil's Church (Bay and St. Joseph Streets). Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (Hamilton). As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Trillium Health Centre would be appreciated.
