MICHAEL WILLIAM CAROLINE It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Michael Caroline. He passed away peacefully at Cassellholme in North Bay, Ontario, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at the age of 71. Michael was a highly respected and accomplished Criminal Lawyer in Toronto for more than 40 years. Law was his passion - as was spending time with his family, fine dining, good wine, sharing adventures with his friends in Collingwood, and enjoying his dogs. Michael was a brilliant, proud, and generous man with a huge heart. He had a sense of humour that brought laughter to many. He was to us all larger than life. Michael was the much-loved husband and soulmate of Ruthann Rivers and the loving father to Taylor Caroline, Lauren Caroline, Jennafer Dabous (Jeff), Bretton Dabous, and his beloved Benson Boy. He was a cherished grandfather to Isla, Hudson, Braden, Austin, and Saorise. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings, Paul Caroline (Sandy), Susan Roe (David) as well as longtime friend, Rob England. He will be missed by his niece and nephew, Caroline and William. Michael was predeceased by his parents, William Caroline and Shirley Caroline (née Diamond). As per Michael's wishes, a private celebration of life will occur at a later date.
