Michael EAGAN

MICHAEL EAGAN 1940 - 2022 The curtain has fallen on an illustrious career in Canadian theatre with the death of scenic designer, Michael Eagan. Born in St. Stephen, NB, and predeceased by his parents and two brothers, he is survived by his brother, Tim, and sister, Teresa (Cressy) Brazier. Michael attended the University of New Brunswick and graduated from the National Theatre School of Canada. His designs appeared on stages across Canada and internationally. He taught at the University of Toronto and Juilliard School before becoming Director of Production Design at NTS. His tenure and influence as a trusted teacher and mentor would prove to affect the Canadian scenographic scene for years to come. He is remembered by all who met and worked with him as a vibrant, engaging, and unforgettable personality, an inspiration to students and co-workers alike.
