Michael Jelley, 79, died peacefully on September 26, 2010, at Baycrest Hospital, following a brief illness with cancer. He leaves his loving wife of 52 years, Joan (Grogan); his daughters Barbara Cheng and her husband Calvin and Victoria Kuzmich and her husband Roy; his brother Peter and sister-in-law Julia of England; grandchildren Griffin, Matthew, Jason, Eric and Claudia and many close friends. Born in Berrylands, England and raised in Surbiton, England, he immigrated to Canada in 1957. A long time member of Highland Country Club, Michael was a sports fanatic, who best enjoyed baseball, curling and golf. Family visitation will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 12-1 p.m. at the R.S Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge St., at Goulding, south of Steeles) with a Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in London, Ontario at a later date.
