Michael Nelles McKiee left our embrace on November 3, 2025 in the arms of his beloved family; wife Carole, sons Colin and Eric and Eric's fiancée, Melissa Keigher. Nelles was predeceased by his parents Jack and Marian McKiee, sister Christie Jackson and husband Bill, brothers Jay McKiee and wife Irene and Reid McKiee (Janiss) all of Simcoe ON. His sisters and brothers-in-law Keith and Kay Ashley and Bryan and Pat Robertson and families were very important to him plus his McKiee and Jackson nieces and nephews. Nelles was a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, the University of Illinois and the CA program of Price Waterhouse. He retired as Vice-President, Finance Adason Properties the real estate division of Canada Life. During his career in commercial real estate, he made many life-long friends. As a golfer he enjoyed the beauty and challenge of the Toronto Golf Club. Nelles was a dedicated competitive bridge player spending many happy hours at bridge clubs, tournaments and online, but especially with the fellows in the Yarborough Bridge Club, a group that formed in university days and continues to survive. His love of the cottage developed from his many Onondaga camp days having attended for the entire summer beginning at age four. He is indebted to friends Bud and Jessie Doyle for insisting that a cottage must come with a boat, not just a canoe, and then demonstrating how to build a proper dock, i.e. they did all the work. Travel covered several continents often sharing adventures with Bill Forbes and Heather Cooke, happy memories Nelles reviewed just before passing. Nelles was very proud of his family and will be missed terribly. His was a life well-lived. Memorial donations if so desired, to The Marian McKiee Scholarship Fund would honour Nelles. The Fund can be accessed online at
www.norfolkcommunityfoundation.com or at Norfolk Community Foundation PO Box 999 Simcoe, ON N3Y 5B3. The family would like to thank the many friends and the staffs of the Odette Cancer and the Temmy Latner Centres who were so supportive over the past seven years. A private family burial will be held. Condolences may be forwarded through
