MICHAEL SLOCOMBE Obituary

March 20, 1943 – December 27, 2024 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Michael at the age of 81, with his favourite piece by Mozart playing and his beloved wife, Judy by his side. Michael was born in Britain, immigrated to Canada in 1968 and founded Slocombe & Associates where he was a trusted financial advisor for close to 50 years. He was also a founding member of the Conference For Advanced Life Underwriters (CALU). Sailing was one of his greatest passions, including Canada's Cup ('72) and racing and cruising throughout the world as well as out of the RCYC and on Georgian Bay. This was followed closely by his love for international travel. Left to miss his absence are his devoted wife, Judy Byle-Jones; brother, Leo; sons, Myles (Kirstin), Elliott (Francesca); daughter, Claire (Darryl) and 6 grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held in Collingwood in the spring of 2025, more details to come. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada in honour of Mike: http://www.MichaelDonation.com

Michael was a hard driving personality who worked hard for the benefit of his clients
I had the benefit ?of being on Lake Ontario in his boat when a flash storm came up
There were only two boats left on the lake
,Michael’s and a police rescue boat
We were all petrified except for Michael who was in his element, enjoying every moment .
He will be missed !
Condolences to his family Chris and Par Snyder
