Michael John WIGGAN

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael J. Wiggan, at his home in Toronto on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Mike died peacefully, surrounded by his family. Every decision in Mike's life was driven by his ambition and intellectual curiosity. While his working life started on a farm in Staffordshire, England, at age 15, he soon resumed studies at Wye College, University of London, followed by the Universities of Guelph for a Masters in Agricultural Economics, and Chicago for his MBA. In his personal and professional lives Mike touched many people. His generous offers of advice and assistance will be missed by those who sought it. His love of adventure took him around the globe, including a solo backpacking trip across South America and into Patagonia in his 60s. Mike is survived by his wife, Vivienne; sister, Sylvia; brother, Anthony (Nicole); sons, Peter (Alison) and Tim (Shannon). He is remembered as an irreverent and proud grandfather by Jack, Matthew, Sophie, Coulson and Sean Wiggan. His profound absence will be felt by family and friends in Toronto, Caledon and Burgundy, France.
