Michele LUND Obituary
LUND, Michele Joan (January 27, 1960 - June 20, 2002)
Daughter of Richard and Joanne de Pass, beloved mother of Matthew and Mike and wife of Michael Lund passed away peacefully in the company of family and friends after a lengthy struggle with cancer. Michele is survived by her siblings Andew, Karen and Deborah, her in-laws Lee, Jim, Sue, Anne, Kevin, Lisa, Christopher and Marina Lund, Grant and Lisa Purdy, and Ron Williamson, nieces and nephews Jessica, Jennifer, Jim, Catherine, Christine, Beck, Nicole, Jack, Sacha, Mikalya and Ryan. In her 42 years with us Michele had many accomplishments. She possessed a sharp mind, a tremendous work ethic and a desire to succeed. Michele earned degrees in business, insurance and law. Her career included positions in the insurance industry, medical services, law and most recently banking. However the most important and lasting of her achievements are found in the friendships that she built, the family members she touched, and her children whom she so loved. Her commitment to these relationships has made a lasting impact on each of us. She will forever be an important part of our lives. We are happy that her suffering has ended, but are saddened for our loss. Our family extends its appreciation to the many friends and health care workers who supported Michele through her illness. In particular we would like to thank the staff at Sunnybrook Hospital, York Region Community Care and Hill House Hospice. Visitation will be at the Marshall Funeral Home 10366 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill (4th traffic light north of Major Mackenzie Dr., on the west side) on Friday, June 21 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, June 22 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Mary Immaculate Church, 10295 Yonge Street, north of Major Mackenzie Drive in Richmond Hill.
