Mireille Mathieu October 19, 1944 - August 3, 2016Passed away suddenly in Sherbrooke, QC at the age of 71. Formerly from Stanstead, QC, Igloolik, NU, Montreal and Saint-Hubert, QC, she was the dear daughter of the late Lionel Mathieu and Cecile Bourassa; the mother of Qajaq Robinson and Philip Anguti Robinson (deceased); the cherished grandmother of Philip Anguti Robinson-Eegeesiak; the sister of Danielle Mathieu (Claude Lafon), Lorraine Mathieu, Claudine Mathieu (Robert Roy) and Claude Mathieu (deceased); the aunt of Robert McGrory (Patricia) and Tobi McGrory; and the longtime companion of Bryan Robinson. In keeping with Mireille's wishes, her body was donated to medical research. Donations may be made (in memoriam) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Quebec or to a mental health research organization.
