Miriam Aileen Kelly, born May 12, 1932, died October 2, 2024. Miriam died peacefully, at home, after a brief illness. She was a daughter, sister, aunt, teacher, lawyer, choralist, world traveler, vigilant neighbour and eager recipient of holiday dinner leftovers. Miriam was born at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, and spent her formative years at school in Montreal. She completed her undergraduate degree at St. Michael's College, at the University of Toronto in 1952. Before attending law school at the University of British Columbia, she taught high school at Oakville Trafalgar High School. Miriam was called to the Bar in 1963, along with her brother, Hugh, in a ceremony presided over by their father. From the time of her call, Miriam practiced real estate and estate law and was known in the real estate community for her relentless advocacy on behalf of her clients. Predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Aileen Kelly; and her siblings, Carol Johnson (George), Hugh Kelly (Mary Kay) and Kevin Kelly (Jill). Survived by 12 nieces and nephews spread across the globe. Special thanks to Vivienne Stratton, Karen and Terry Shofner and Tim McEnany for their longstanding friendship and support. Thanks also to the many caregivers and the palliative team from the Temmy Latner Center who made it possible for Miriam to remain in her home, as was her desire. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a
