MIRIAM LIBERMAN

MIRIAM LIBERMAN Obituary

Peacefully, on Thursday, August 14, 2025. Devoted wife of the late Bernie Liberman. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Howard, Steven, and Alissa and Donald. Adored Safta of Justin and Aliza, Jarid, Julie and Will, Andrea, and Lauren. Dearest Great-Safta of Georgia, and Harlowe. Loving sister and sister-in-law of Shaul and Rachel Lavi, Frances Avni, and the late Gita and Irving Galganov. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Miriam had what seemed like unlimited energy that she poured into her family, her friends, and her community. She was a teacher, she loved to travel, went back to school, worked as a therapist, went on long walks, volunteered tirelessly for Hadassah-WIZO - but nothing made her happier than to have her family and many friends around her table together enjoying a delicious meal and each other. Heartfelt thanks to the incredible staff at Sunnybrook Holland Centre. Special thanks to Miriam's caregiver, Cherry, who made her life comfortable over the last few years. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 18th, at 2:00 p.m. at Beth Tzedec Memorial Park, 5822 Bathurst Street (north of Finch on the West side). Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Hadassah-WIZO (www.chw.ca, 1-855-477-5964).

I had the honor to be in Miriam and the late Bernie's company it seems not too long ago. We had the odd week-ends at Ski country in the summer and do recall seeing Miriam at Revera on Roselawn Avenue retirement home. Miriam I remember as a devoted wife to Bernie. I also remember Bernie a dear sweet man, who spoke then with his eyes. A lovely couple. Rest in peace Miriam.
