In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Milton Fitzpatrick; and siblings, Earl Goddard (Rita), Raymond Goddard (Vivian), and Ivy Robertson (Creighton). She is survived by her children, Stephen (Carol) and John (Irene Dorner); five grandchildren, Caitlin Fitzpatrick (Jon Douglas), Sean Fitzpatrick (Emily), Andrew Fitzpatrick (Kendal Lander), Ryan Fitzpatrick (Tess), and Sarah Sirek (Paul); seven great-grandchildren, Patrick, Teddy and Asher Douglas, Poppy Fitzpatrick, Avery Fitzpatrick, and Connor and James Sirek; two sisters, Violet Oicle (Maurice, deceased) and Ferne Edgecombe (Jack, deceased); sister-in-law, Thelma MacDonald (Clarence, deceased); brother-in-law, Leonard Fitzpatrick (Anne); and many beloved nieces and nephews. Myrt was very organized and detail oriented. At her request, she has been cremated, and a celebration of life is being organized. The funeral service and celebration of her life will be held at Belvedere Funeral Home on Friday, June 27th, at 11 a.m., followed by a reception for her family and friends. A private family interment in the Sherwood Cemetery will take place following the service. The family would like to express special thanks to the incredible compassionate care shown to her by Drs. Ellis, Cheverie, and MacKenzie, and the wonderful staff at QEH in Units 1 and 7 during her final days there. They made her feel supported and comfortable. Myrt spent a short time at Andrews of Stratford, where she was treated with care and respect. Myrt lived independently up until April 2025. The family would like to thank her three nieces, Debbie Mullen-Campbell, Helen O'Connell and Glenda Edgecombe, and two special friends, Hazel Huggan and Esther White, for their love and support of Myrt over the years.
