NANCY JANE WILLIAMS

NANCY JANE WILLIAMS obituary

NANCY WILLIAMS Obituary

(July 21, 1950 - February 23, 2026) On February 23rd, in her 76th year, our beloved Nancy passed away peacefully, with Doug at her side, at Ian Anderson House in Oakville, Ontario. Her final weeks were filled with visits from family and close friends, ending with a joyous family celebration on February 22nd in her sun-filled room. Adored and adoring wife of Doug for 51 wonderful years, Nancy felt that bringing her sons into the world was her greatest achievement and the truest expression of who she was. She is survived by Joe and Ben; Ben's wonderful wife, Kelly; and grandchildren, Quinn, Tom and Annie. Survived also by her sister, Judy; and cherished brother, Sam (Carol); and predeceased by her sister, Pat; and parents, William and Jane. Born in Burlington, Ontario, into a large and loving family, Nancy moved to Toronto to attend nursing school, where she was elevated to Valedictorian by her fellow nurses. She went on to build a rewarding career in nursing, followed by a successful career in real estate. Despite her modest and unassuming nature, Nancy was a fierce and loyal friend to many, and was deeply loved by all who knew her. She adored her dogs, and leaves behind her Jack Russell terrier, Eddie, who will dearly miss their walks together. A celebration of life will take place this spring at the Oakville Golf Club, a place where Nancy and Doug have spent many happy days. In lieu of flowers, donations to Ian Anderson House in Oakville would be warmly welcomed.

We met Nancy and Doug Williams while wintering at Hilton Head Island, S.C.
We became instant friends and wintered together for the next six-years in Palmetto Dunes Plantation.
Nancy was rarely without her beloved Jack Russell (Eddie) pet during Doug and Nancy´s daily ritual of early morning walks through Palmetto Dunes serpentine walking trails.
Nancy´s love and friendship will never be erased from our hearts and minds.
May she rest in peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
Barb and Bill Beagan.

As I watch Leave it to Beaver or see animal tracks in the snow or read a good book I will always think of you. My good friend.

It was an honor and a privilege to have Nancy as my friend. We shared so much laughter over the years. Just the thought of her makes me smile. If i could write a play about us, it would be a comedy. Until we meet again my friend. May her memory be a blessing.
