Natalie Antoinette Wheatstone
1922-2015 B.A. Bryn Mawr; M.A. Columbia;
Diplomas in French Literature
and Phonetics from Sorbonne;
Diploma in Theology, Trinity
College, Toronto. Lovingly
remembered by her husband,
Bill; sons, Michael (Peggy), his
daughters, Miranda and Alexis;
Geoffrey (Leanne), his daughter,
Meghan and son, Liam;
daughter, Margaret (Simon
Perry), her son, Matthew and
daughter, Caitlinn. Natalie fell in
love with French at an early age,
which led to a happy and
rewarding teaching career of 25
years, 14 of them at Martingrove
C.I. in Etobicoke. She was also a
grateful Associate of S.S.J.D. for
(33) years, a member of All
Saints' Anglican Church Chancel
Guild and ACW, the Women's
Probus Club of Pretty River,
GTLLI (founding member), the
Nature League of Collingwood; a
supporter of WWF, the Canadian
Federation for Sexual Health,
Canadians for Choice; a former
member of the Toronto and
Weston Women's University
Clubs, the Etobicoke Volunteer
Centre and the Board of the
Etobicoke Mental Health Centre.
Natalie met her beloved
husband, Bill, in France in 1952
and they were married in
England in Coronation Year,
1953. Their lives were blessed
and enriched by their children
and grandchildren, their
extended families and by friends
on three continents.
Natalie loved her church, her
students, beautiful places like
Lake Superior, New Zealand and
the Connecticut hills, books,
Brahms, baseball, fashion, fine
(Highland) Scotch and owls.

Cremation has taken place. A
memorial service will be held at
All Saints' Anglican Church, 32
Elgin St. Collingwood at 11:00
a.m. on Thursday, September
24, 2015. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to a
charity of choice.
