Peacefully in Montreal, in his ninety-fifth year, on Wednesday, May 27, 2009. Devoted husband of the late Lillian Fainer. Caring and loving partner of Sheila Schouela. Cherished father and father-in-law of Barbara and Walter Stein, David and Martha, Richard and Linda. Adored grandfather of Jonathan Stein and Cara Webb, Douglas Stein and Alina Kao; Sarah Finkelstein, Andrew and Trish Finkelstein, Matthew Finkelstein; Eric and Rachel Finkelstein. Special great- grandfather of Jasmine Stein Webb. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Jack and Judy, Morty and Jackie, Gerald and Evelyn Finn, Kay and the late Manny, the late Dorothy and the late Abe Roseman, and brother-in-law of Murray and Lois Fainer, Lila and the late Lyon Fainer, the late Deena Fainer. Sadly mourned by his nieces, nephews, family, friends, and the Schouela Family. The family would like to thank Dr. Walter Bloom and Dr. Gordon Crelinsten for their care and compassion.
