Nathan was incredibly kind to me and acted as a mentor during the 90´s and early 2000´s. His guidance and occasional course corrections helped programs such as Project Warmth, Greater Toronto Community Clearinghouse and Technology, Learning Technology (TLC) succeed. In doing so he indirectly assisted 1000´s and saved many lives.

I´m so sorry to read this! Nathan was a long time colleague in the cultural world and we had many interactions over the years. He was always passionate and committed. A loss for the field and to his family. Please accept my sincerest condolences. May his memory be a blessing.

I met Nathan as a fellow MSW student at U of T in 1974. I so admired his humour, his intellectual curiosity and his kindness. As our careers evolved and our children arrived, our paths crossed occasionally, but we eventually lost touch. I was sad to hear about his death and send condolences to Myrna and all the family.

I had the distinct pleasure of working with Nathan in his earlier role, before he joined the Laidlaw Foundation. He was the inaugural Executive Director of the Ontario Municipal Social Services Association (OMSSA) and helped lay the groundwork for OMSSA´s continued success in the social welfare field.
How well I remember our growing friendship, and his humorous efforts at teaching me and my family the uniqueness of Jewish culture, all with that mischievous grin of his.
Indeed, a committed and caring human being with a deep intellect.
While we have lost touch over the years, i mourn the loss of a friend and significant contributor to the well being of others.
