NEVIL FRABA Obituary
NEVIL ARTHUR FRABA (1914 - 2002) Died peacefully at Toronto Western Hospital on Friday, September 13th, 2002 in his 89th year. He was born in Ruscomb, Ontario and educated in Ruscomb and Windsor. He obtained his degree in Pharmacy at the University of Toronto, Class of '38. Predeceased by his dearly loved wife Freda Muxlow. Loving father of Joanne Petrie and her husband John Petrie and Barbara Engle and her husband Rafe Engle. Proud and cherished grandfather of Lee and Ian Petrie and Noelle and Danae Engle. Dear brother to Norma Allen and Wilma Atkin. Predeceased by brothers Clifford and Clare, and sisters Blanche (Skidmore), Pearl (Knister), and Eva (Robertson). Following graduation from the U. of T., he served in the Canadian Navy and worked for Parke-Davis. Nev then opened Fraba Pharmacy in Cooksville which he owned and operated for 20 years. He was a life member of the Oakwood Lodge A.F. and A.M. In 1995, Nev moved to Christie Gardens, where he developed many friendships and continued to pursue his many interests. His gentle manner, kindness, sense of humour and love of life will be missed. The family wishes to thank Dr. Joanne Meyers and the I.C.U. team at the Toronto Western Hospital and the staff of Christie Gardens for their care and kindness. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter 'Peel' Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, (Hwy. 10 north of Q.E.W.), from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2002. Private interment Springcreek Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Faculty of Pharmacy Building Fund, University of Toronto would be appreciated.
