Passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 25, 2012 in her 90th year. Loving wife of the late William (Bill) Mitchell. Beloved mother of Reid (Dorthea), Blair (Liming) and Lesley Byfield. Sister of Joan Phillips and predeceased by her sister Wilma Allore. Nana of Stewart Byfield and Benjamin, Ellen and Rosalyn Mitchell. Family and friends will be received at the Sherrin Funeral Home, Cremation and Tribute Centre, (873 Kingston Road, west of Victoria Park Ave.), on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 5 - 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Church of the Resurrection, (1100 Woodbine Avenue), at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Michael R. Applin Nursing Award (Toronto General Hospital Foundation) and the Church of the Resurrection would be greatly appreciated by the family.
