Norman WHITE Obituary

WHITE, Norman Ross Agnew, B.Comm., LL.B.
After a courageous 10 year battle with leukemia and a successful unrelated bone marrow transplant in November 1997, Norman suddenly, but quietly, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 1999 as a result of complications from infection. He was a wonderful husband and soulmate to Kim; a doting, generous and proud father of Victoria, 3; and loving guardian of niece, Laura, 15. He was a caring, supportive and loving, brother and uncle to his parents, Denis and Peggy White and his parents-in-law, Cathy and the late Helmut Stoll; brother Andrew, his wife Cathy White and their children, Adam and Lauren; sister Margot, her husband Graeme Secord and their children, Gillian and Baby Secord. Norman was a graduate of Upper Canada College, University of Toronto, Queen's University and was a member of the Granite Club. He was a fiercely loyal friend and legal advocate. He will be sorely missed by his many relatives and friends in Canada, U.K., U.S.A. and Germany, as well as by his law partner and friend, Stuart Reddington, staff and many clients of Reddington & White. A special thank you to Angela Bacon, his donor, and all of his doctors and nurses who gave us 17 months more to enjoy and remember. Every minute was special. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME-A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21. FUNERAL SERVICE THURSDAY, APRIL 22
2:00 P.M. ST. JOHN'S ANGLICAN CHURCH YORK MILLS 19 Don Ridge Drive (off Old Yonge Street), North York. Interment in the churchyard, followed by a reception at the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, 610 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M5G 2M9, for their bone marrow transplant program, would be greatly appreciated.
