BLACKMORE, O. Ralph
Peacefully at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Monday April 8th, 2002. Professor Blackmore taught Economics at Wilfred Laurier University, Waterloo from 1966-1992. Previous he was Financial Editor at the Globe and Mail. He has also served with the R.C.A.F. during the W.W.II. Beloved husband of Rose (nee Dastyk). Loving father of Michael and his wife Brenda and Tom and his wife Jane all of Toronto. Sadly missed by grandchildren, Jeffrey, John, Jennifer and Tommy. Predeceased by his former wife Beverly Jean McCullagh; parents Wallace and Evelyn Ann Blackmore and a sister Evelyn Ann Fremantle. Professor Blackmore's family will receive friends and relatives at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, April 10th, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue at the Humphrey Funeral Home A. W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue, Toronto on Thursday, April 11th, 2002 from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Richard Crossman officiating. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto. Donations to the Ralph Blackmore Award at Wilfred Laurier University or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family by calling the funeral home at (519) 745-8445 or through www.edwardrgood.com ;A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 5th at 2:00 p.m. in the Keffer Memorial Chapel at Waterloo Lutheran Seminary.
