OWEN CLAIR GORDON Peacefully on December 1, 2021 at the age of 58, the life force known as Owen Gordon came to rest with his soul mate Karen Gordon (nee Huschilt) and closest family by his side. Predeceased by his beloved mother Marjorie Gordon (nee Trew), Owen is survived by his father Alvin Gordon, brother Ainsley and his wife Diane, and nephews Damian and Andrew. Known as beloved Uncle O, he leaves behind a multi-generational family of precious aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Born in Derby, England to Jamaican parents who immigrated to Canada, Owen grew up in London, Ontario. After earning his university degree as CA, Owen moved to Toronto where he became a CPA. This launched him on a diverse and rewarding career path starting in mining and progressing to Pharma, BioTech and Life Sciences. Subsequently, Owen thrived as an independent consultant and advisor where he combined his talent for big picture strategic thinking with the networking flair of a natural ambassador and people person. There was always so much more to Owen than simply business. He lived for music and kept up his guitar skills with an inside knowledge of musical artists, tracks and beats to rival most DJs. His tastes moved from funk, soul, jazz, and reggae to acid jazz, house, African music, and rock. Equally versed in politics, film and culture, Owen was often found deep in conversation or introducing new connections through his mental Rolodex. Wherever he went, he made lasting friendships and lit up the room with his 1000-watt smile, diamond sharp mind, and incredible sense of humour.
