Proud veteran of R.A.F. 263 (Typhoon) Squadron. Retired after a long and industrious career as a reporter for the Toronto Star. Passed away after a short illness on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Oakville-Trafalgar Hospital at the age of 86. Predeceased by his beloved wife Helen. Father of Hugh and his wife Helen and Patrick and his wife Suzanne. Grandfather of Brennan, Evan, Heather, Liam, Dylan, Mat and Charlie. Friends will be received at the J. SCOTT EARLY FUNERAL HOME, 21 James St., Milton (905) 878-2669 on Sunday, February 24, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be prayed in the funeral home at 8:30 p.m. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at HOLY ROSARY CHURCH, 139 Martin St., Milton on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow, York Cemetery, Toronto.
