Patience CORNEIL Obituary



CORNEIL, Patience (Pat) Baxter
Died in the Glenmore Park Palliative Ward on Monday, April 16, 2001 after a long struggle with cancer. She was born in Montreal in September 1915. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University in 1937, and married Charles Corneil on March 8, 1941. Pat and Chuck shared a long and happy life for 55 years. Pat loved life, learning and people of all ages. Her family and many friends will miss her positive attitude, kindness to all, and her strong support to those in need. Patience is survived by two daughters: Gail O'Brien and her husband David; and Penny Butcher; five grandchildren: Dr. Tara O'Brien and her husband John Marley, and Shaun O'Brien all of Toronto, Matthew O'Brien and his wife Elizabeth of San Francisco, CA, Sean Butcher of Tampa, FL, and Neal Butcher of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by her sister Eileen Henderson and husband John of Toronto, and her sister-in-law Wilson Baxter of Hamilton, ON. Patience was predeceased by her husband Charles, her two doctor brothers, Dr. Hamilton Baxter and Dr. Stewart Baxter, her sister Kathleen, and a son-in-law Colin Butcher. Funeral Services were held at Grace Presbyterian Church (1009-15th Avenue S.W.) on Thursday, April 19, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Victor Kim officiating.
