Sutherland, Patricia 'Pat' Ellen (nee Logan) March 13, 1926 - September 11, 2016 After playing golf at Diamond in the Rough, Pat had a tragic tumble and was flown to Sunnybrook Hospital with critical injuries. Despite the concerted efforts of the finest doctors and nurses she succumbed to her brain injury five days later on September 11, 2016. Her husband Suds has lost the love of his life and best friend. They were happily married for 66 years. It was her supreme optimism and go-for-it attitude that propelled Suds on his successful career in the budding mutual fund industry five decades ago. Mourned by her loving children: Sheree Maurer (Heinz), Marie Collins (Kevin), Jamie (Brenda) and Rob (Cheryl). And by her adoring grandchildren Bridgette, Christopher, Sarah, Carl and Ashley. She is also mourned by her brother Stu and family. As a graduate of Trinity College, Pat enjoyed a wide variety of interests. She was a talented artist, constantly studying new methods through her Humber Valley Art Class group. A walk through the family home is like visiting a fine art gallery. She was actively involved with her many valued friends at Muskoka Lakes Golf and Country Club, and in a bridge club and book club in Toronto. Pat and Suds travelled the world together and equally enjoyed their times with friends and family at home and in Florida and Muskoka. She was a beautiful spirit, classy, bubbly, happy, intelligent, and full of enthusiasm. Pat was a pillar of strength to her family, and always an equal partner with Suds. A private family service is being held in accordance with Pat's wishes, knowing that she celebrated life each and every day. In Pat's memory, do a good deed, or make a donation to the charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made through
