Patrick W. E. Hodgson
With great sadness, we announce the death of Patrick W. E. Hodgson on December 26, 2016 at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, following a sudden and severe stroke on December 22.

Pat was predeceased by his parents, Patrick H. Hodgson of Doncaster, England, and Wilhelmina Schoellkopf of Buffalo, NY, and by his sister Nina Spier of East Aurora, NY. He is survived by his wife Camille, and by his daughter Sayre (Chris), his son Patrick (Kate), and three grandchildren.

He was a Class of 1962 graduate of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. From 1964 to 1989, he was the owner and President of London Machinery Co., London, Ontario. He served as a director of M&T Bank of Buffalo, NY from 1984 until the time of his death. Pat was also a former Chairman of both Scott's Hospitality, Inc. of Toronto and Todd Shipyards Corp. of Seattle, Washington.

Family and friends will gather in remembrance at The Badminton & Racquet Club of Toronto (25 St. Clair Avenue West; on-site parking is extremely limited, please use subway or taxi or park at public facilities such as 2 Pleasant Blvd.) on January 14, 2017 at 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat's memory can made to the Hepato-Pancreatico Biliary Fund at the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation (in support of pancreatic cancer research; he did not suffer this disease but it was his preferred medical charity, click '...More funds' in the Fund Allocation box), to the St. Michael's Hospital Foundation, or to the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County.
