Patrick (Pat) Thomas McNamara, 61, passed peacefully Monday, March 16, 2026, at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Toronto Ontario. Predeceased by his father Thomas McNamara, survived by his son Austen Fulton McNamara, mother Marilyn McNamara, partner Donna McLean, sisters Catherine McNamara, Carole McNamara-Veilleux (Eric), nephew Ethan, aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends. A very special thank you to Todd, Jason, Chris and Andy who have done so much for Pat and his family these last months. Pat was a "Big Brother" who was committed to the program and to his three little brothers Michael, Nicholas and Harrison. Pat grew up in Winnipeg, North Bay and Trenton. Pat earned his commerce degree at Carleton University, earned his CA and was Vice-President of Taxation at Agnico Eagle Mines Limited. He truly enjoyed his work there, and the many people he worked with over the years. Sincere thanks to the Agnico team for your help during this difficult time. Pat loved learning, travelling, sports and helping others. He especially loved his home on the lake where all were welcome. Thank you for the wonderful care given by the staff of The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre these past months. Thank you also to the staff at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital's Palliative Care Unit for the care of Pat and his extended family for his last few days. Per Pat's wishes he has been cremated. A celebration of life will be held at The Omni King Edward Hotel (37 King Street East, Toronto) in the Crystal Ballroom on Friday May 1st, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Toronto (
