October 16, 1937 - March 1, 2026 We are saddened to announce the passing of Patrick "Pat" Wilson, in his 89th year, at Stratford General Hospital on March 1st, with his family present. He leaves behind his sweetheart of over 70 years, wife, Judith Anne (nee McLean); daughter, Debbie; son, Jim (Lorraine); grandchildren, Amelia (Mike), Alysa (Dan), Stewart (Colleen), Kate, and Carolyn; great-grandchildren, Luke, Lily, and Luna; Judy's brother, John (Karen); sister, Elizabeth (Ken); and the Mclean and Gilmore nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his mother, Ann (nee Makarenko); father, James Victor; sister, Rosaleen Rogers (Don); and Judy's brother, David (Sandy). Pat was born and raised in Toronto, and attended Maurice Cody Public School, North Toronto Collegiate, and Ryerson for Business. He worked for many years for Ernie Swan Television before starting a successful 37-year career with Eaton's in 1960. His work included the retail and catalogue divisions, purchasing (travelling across the far east), store management (Sherway Gardens and Oshawa), and finally, as Chairman of the Eaton Foundation. His time in Oshawa was lengthy, and the wonderful staff of Eaton's Oshawa became our second family. His passion outside of work was golf and family. He loved the Oshawa Golf Club and was a member for almost 50 years. He was the founding president of the Durham AM Kiwanis Club – and had many great friendships there, and at the golf club. Once retired, his world was golf and travel, with a final move to Stratford in 2021. We greatly appreciate the care received throughout the Huron Perth area and the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre at LHSC. Many wonderful nurses and doctors aided us in this journey. We are grateful. There will be a private family gathering that will take place this summer. In lieu of flowers, if you wish to honour Pat, please consider Stratford General Hospital, the Verspeeten Cancer Centre or the
Canadian Cancer Society through W. G. Young Funeral Home,
