PAUL NICHOLAS ADAMS November 19, 1934 - August 15, 2023 Paul died peacefully, at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, at age 88, after a brief illness. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Adams (née Cleveland). Loving father of Beth Lynn (Hal Atcheson) of Pembroke, ON, and Ian (Kari Stuart-Smith) of Cranbrook, BC. Caring grandfather of Sean (Malin), Glen, Colin (Ashley), Erin and James. Paul lived most of his life in Toronto and took great pride in his North Toronto roots. He held degrees in Applied Science Bachelor (1959) and Masters (1961) in Engineering from the University of Toronto. Paul and Margie married in 1962 and shared nearly 60 years together. In 1969, they purchased a cottage on Livingstone Lake near Algonquin Provincial Park, which became a central part of the family's lives. He taught Mechanical Engineering at what is now Toronto Metropolitan University, starting in 1963 and retiring as Professor Emeritus in 1994. Margie and Paul then moved north to Thornton, ON, to a home he had designed. Declining health led them to relocate to Pembroke in 2020 to be closer to family. Paul was predeceased by his wife, Margie; and parents, May and Roy Adams. A celebration of life will be held in Pembroke at 1:00 p.m. on September 22, 2023, at Neville's Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's memory to Friends of Algonquin Park or Robbie Dean Family Counselling Centre of Pembroke would be appreciated.
