(November 10, 1937 - November 27, 2025) Paul Laird Bowlby Kinsman, aged 88, passed away on November 27, 2025, at Regina Gardens, with family by his side. Born in Middleton, NS, he was the son of the late William and Mildred (Bowlby) Kinsman, farmers of Central Clarence, NS, where he originally went to school in a one-room school house until going to the new High School in Bridgetown, NS, in 1951. He graduated in 1955 and joined the Bank of Nova Scotia, where he worked in NS, NB and ON, until retiring in 1994 after being Vice President of Real Estate Credit. He then worked for the office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada as a credit consultant for over a decade. Paul was always active in sports and in 1960, was a member of the Amherst Blue Jays Nova Scotia Intermediate Baseball Champions, and in 1965, a member of the Moncton Schooners New Brunswick Senior Baseball Champions. He ended up playing Fastball and Old Timer Hockey until he was 70. In NB in the 1960s, he was very active in the Kinsmen Club and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Paul was married to Marjorie Carter Kinsman, who passed away in 1980. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy Kinsman; and by his son, Larry Kinsman (Marcy); daughter, Shelly Carleton (Derek); daughter, Sherry Kinsman; daughter, Kelly Pottruff (Shane); and by grandchildren, Michael Bennett (Tash), Nerissa Kilmartin (Neil), Brady Kinsman, Stephanie Carleton (Jennifer), Michelle Carleton (Gian-Luca), Seth Ruttkay, Madeline Pottruff, and Liam Bennett; and great-grandchildren, Zachary Bennett, Rhys Bennett, Jaxon Bennett, Sofie Kilmartin, Owen Kilmartin, and Riley Bennett. He will be missed by his extended family, Kathy Bennett, Bill (Arlene) Bennett and Trish (Jim) Luzzi. He is also survived by his sister, Janet Parker Vaughan, and her daughter, Suzy Parker. Paul's funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, located at 1010 Botanical Drive, Burlington, ON, L7T 1V1, followed by an Inurnment at Bayview Cemetery.
