PAUL MAGGIACOMO Obituary

October 2, 1944 - August 11, 2025 Paul died peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at Princess Margaret Hospital. Devoted husband of 52 years to Beverley (Clappison); loving father to Katie (Alec St. Louis) and John (Lindsay Roden); and proud Poppa to Sydney and Skylar. Predeceased by his parents, Anna and Alfred Maggiacomo, his brother Peter and brother-in-law Michael Clappison. Survived by his sister Diane (John Agnelli), brother-in-law and sister in-law John and Lynn Clappison, sister-in-law Cilia Clappison, and many nieces and nephews. Paul was one-of-a-kind who lived life to the fullest. Despite encountering various health challenges over the years, Paul was a true inspiration as he faced each one with exceptional strength, grace and courage. Paul had many accomplishments throughout his life, including a lengthy and successful career in Interior Design. After graduating from The Ontario College of Art and Design, Paul founded Tanner Hill Associates Incorporated in 1974, alongside his wife Beverley. Paul consistently demonstrated professionalism and kindness throughout his career and had a tremendous presence within the industry. He earned the respect and admiration from countless colleagues and clients, many of whom he considered as friends. Paul loved being by the water, whether it was cruising the lakes up at his beloved cottage on Little Lake Joseph, or enjoying the warmth of sun and sea on his annual trip down to Florida. He was happiest with a tool box in hand and memories of him can be found in his numerous projects and creations. Above all, Paul was happiest when spending time with family and friends. He loved deeply and his sense of humour could always bring a smile or laugh to those around him. Paul and his family are extremely appreciative for the exceptional and compassionate care he received at Princess Margaret Hospital. If inclined, and in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation made in Paul's name to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation at supportthepmcf.ca/Memory. A private family service has been held. A celebration of life will be planned for the fall and the details will be shared once determined. Paul was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will forever be remembered for his warm spirit, generosity, sense of humour and kind smile. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter and will be greatly missed by so many. I first met my cousin Paul at his Dad and moms house. my Uncle Fred and Auntie Annies. Always polite and busy. I was fascinated that each cousin had a T.V in their room. I loved their home and the National Geographics my Aunt gave me especially the one with hummingbirds. I remember Dianne, Peter and Paul. I remember an article they Did in the Star Weekly of the rooms Paul designed for one of the hotels in Toronto, beautiful. And I once took a box of donuts down to the first office they had in toronto, Paul and Peter. They were busy the secretary told me, I hope they got some of the doughnuts. I also saw their Tanner and associates ad on my computer, I was very proud of them. God bless you Paul, I know you are in heaven and God bless your family. Margaret Lianna Glover.

I first met Paul and Bev on New Year's Eve, 31 December 1973, when we moved in across the dividing wall from the Maggiacomos on Avenue Road. Yes, Paul was always fun-loving and quite a wonderful support for friends and family. I am so sorry to hear about Paul's death, Bev. You will truly miss a superb friend and companion.
