It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Pearl Stiff (née Petite), on May 3, 2025. Pearl was born in the small port village of English Harbour West, Newfoundland on March 8, 1926, the eldest child of Howard and Gladys Petite. She moved with her parents, sisters (Goldie, Betty and Audrey) and brother (Philip) to Toronto in 1947. She worked at Corning Glass in Leaside, where she would meet her husband, Harry. They married and moved into their house in Victoria Village in 1958, where they would raise their sons Dave and Tim. Pearl was predeceased by her husband Harry (1994) and her sisters Betty, Audrey and Goldie. She is survived by her brother Philip (Olga), sons Dave (Melynda) and Tim (Barb), grandchildren Megan, Michael and May (Brian) and great-granddaughter Rosemary. Pearl loved her garden, spending hours on her flowers, including her many Rose bushes. She was a faithful Toronto Blue Jays fan and enjoyed co-hosting summer pool parties and Christmas dinners. She also enjoyed her Autumn trips to Myrtle Beach. We'll always remember Pearl for her easy-going nature and positive outlook on life. Our thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Carveth Care Centre in Gananoque. A visitation will take place on Monday, May 12th from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville), Toronto. A service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery. A celebration of Pearl's life will take place later that day. Condolences can be forwarded through
