Passed away peacefully, at home, on October 1, 2025, at age 82. Born in Vancouver, he attended UBC and Queen's University. He had a long career in finance in Toronto, at Dominion Securities, Metropolitan Life and Fiera YMG Capital, before retiring to Orillia. Peter's life was defined by kindness, generosity and unwavering integrity. He made a lasting impact on many lives with quiet acts of grace and a deep sense of justice. He had simple needs - some exercise and yogurt, some mental stimulation and nature. He was happiest when he saw that the others around him were happy. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Helen; children, Jeff (Catherine), Ian (Tiina), Janet (Volodko) and Julia (Scott); grandchildren, Matthew, Rebecca, Tessa, Ewan, Eric, Anna, Sonja, Nicholas and Chloe; twin sister, Jane (Gord); brother, Michael (Carol); and many nieces and nephews. Donations in Peter's memory can be made to The Sharing Place Foodbank in Orillia (
