Peter John Carey was a lovely friend.
We will all miss him so very much ! We will always remember his warm smile , his twinkling joyful eyes, his humility , his humanity, his fabulous sense of humour, his caring and kind gentle nature , his remarkable memory -making his conversations so full of colour detail humour and life ! We will always remember Peter with a watering can tending to his own families gardens daily , as well so many neighbours and friends hanging baskets , flower beds and even cedar hedges as the needs might arise !
We will always remember Peter John Carey our lovely friend !
Sending our heartfelt condolences to Peter´s´ Loving Family

Dear Joanne, Paul, Tim, Patsy, Parbara, and Colleen
I am so very sorry for your loss. Peter and I grew up together and met him when I was in grade one at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School. He was a wonderful person who would make you smile when he walked into any room. He will be missed by so many of those who had the chance to know him. Peter, rest in Peace. May God give this family the Courage and Strength to get through this very difficult time. God Bless. xo xo xo

Sweet Peter, one of a kind. Peter maintained an unconditional friendship with our family for over sixty years. He always stayed in touch. We will miss him "just checking in."We will miss his messages of joy through pictures he sent of his beautiful home he loved so much. We will miss his words: "Hello", or "Very cold and windy but very pretty", or "looking forward to a new experience", or " it´s been quite a year", or "this is the time to support each other", or "all good".
"MEN OF FEW WORDS ARE THE BEST MEN."
William Shakespeare
Peter was relentless supporting our family, and so many others, through good times or sad times.
"DEAR CHILDREN, LET US NOT LOVE WITH WORDS OR TONGUE, BUT WITH ACTING AND IN TRUTH."
John 3:18
Thank you for sharing your life with us, and reminding us what the word GOOD really means!
Sending you one last photo to wherever you are, taken the day you left us (but you probably know that)!
While we join Peter´s many loved ones in mourning his loss, we will be forever grateful for the indelible mark of kindness he left on all of us. Our deepest condolences to the Carey´s and your own.
We´ll have to remember to "stop and smell the roses " for Pete once in a while.
With love,
Liz and Kim Gardiner

Peter will always be a member of our unique organ transplant family. He supported The Lung Transplant Open from the beginning in 2004. He generously donated the gorgeous begonias to our event every year. I will keep begonias in my garden and always think of him with a smile when I look at them. Such a kind hearted person a true gentleman. We will miss him tremendously at this year´s event. I will honour him and we will all share a moment in his memory. Peter you made it to the finish line with dignity and honour.

Peter was a beautiful person, a friend to so many. I only got to know him five years ago. Since living in this community, he quickly became one of my best friends. he taught me so much about gardening.. He cared so much for seniors in our community, and was on different committees in Beaverton. Always giving of himself. He had a great sense of humour and a sharp mind. Always blew my mind how he never forgot a name. Deepest condolences to anyone who loved him. Gone too soon, but heaven gained an angel.
