PETER JAMES CARROLL Peacefully after a short illness, with his family at his side on Monday, January 23, 2006 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Peter, beloved husband of Chris. Predeceased by his wife Patricia June and his parents James and Helen Carroll. Dear son-in-law of Lillian. Loving father of Paul and his wife Ju-Hee, David, Susan and her husband Geoffrey, Gordon, and Lorne. Loving grandfather of Peter and Jevin. Much loved brother of Elizabeth and her husband Herbert. Peter enjoyed a distinguished professional career as a chartered accountant, having trained with MacGillivary Chartered Accountants and Advisors, advancing to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario as Director of Ethics and Standards. Most recently was Director of Standards with Allen and Miles LLP Chartered Accountants ., in Toronto. He was recognized by his peers and awarded an FCA in 1979. As a devout Christian, Peter was a lay delegate to Synod, member of Parish Council, and Servers Guild, and auditors for St. Cuthbert's Anglican Church in Oakville. Peter provided support to the Chamber Music Society of Mississauga in the capacity of President and Treasurer. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2006 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, January 26, 2006 from 24 and 7-9 p.m. at the Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr Street), 905-842-2252. Funeral Service will be held at St. Cuthbert's Anglican Church, 1541 Oakhill Drive (corner of Oakhill and Maplegrove Avenue), 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27th. Reception to follow in Church Hall. Interment Saturday, January 28th 10:30 a.m. in Hamilton District Cemetery.
