Peter and I grew up together in Kingston and we were part of a group of friends who gathered most days at his place, where his remarkable mother welcomed and fed us with pleasure. Peter was always the curious and creative person he later showed himself to be during his long career in public service. We saw little of each other after he moved west, apart from a memorable visit to our home a year or so ago. Despite this, he has always been a reminder of those important early friendships that shape one´s perspective and values. I was very sad to hear of his death and Judi and I wish Ruth all the strength she will need to deal with this loss.

Dear Ruth & family! Our most sincere condolences. I worked with Peter throughout the Core Area Initiative days and was always a big fan of his. In his vision for what the inner city could become, his collaborative skill in achieving our mutual goals & objectives, and his easy-going friendly manner. Peter was a superb example of how to make things work! All best wishes, Jo-Ann & Ken
