PETER FERGUSON Obituary
It it with heavy hearts that the family of Peter Ferguson announces his passing, peacefully on November 28, 2025, in his 93rd year. He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 64 years, Jean; his daughter, Amanda (Pete Harvey); his son, Ted (Jessica Ferguson); and five grandsons of whom he was enormously proud, Tyler, Lucas and Ethan Harvey, Ben and Nate Ferguson. A University of Toronto Commerce and Psychology graduate, he had a long and rewarding career in personnel and labour relations. His true passion was the north, cottaging in Georgian Bay, Muskoka, and Parry sound where many years were spent building cottages, boating, exploring and enjoying time with friends and family. His years in the north inspired his past time of creating abstract paintings that are now a wonderful memory for his family. He grew up in Woodstock, Ontario, where he began his badminton career, rising to become a world ranked Canadian badminton player. Many of his best years were centred around racquet sports at the Carlton club and the RCYC, where close, long-term friendships were cultivated. A celebration of life will take place in the spring. We would like to thank St. Joseph's Hospital where Peter received wonderful care.
