PETER NIELSEN Obituary



PETER NIELSEN On Monday, February 3, 2003, Peter passed-on peacefully at Lakeridge Health Centre in Uxbridge, holding hands with the two great loves of his life, Sharon, his wife and sole mate, and his daughter Julie whom he loved so much and was so proud of. Mark Bolen dear son-in-law and Mackenzie Bolen his precious granddaughter will sadly miss him. Peter fought a determined and courageous six-month battle with cancer. Dearly loved and sadly missed by Peter's father, Robert Nielsen, sister Kippy Nielsen, his brother Sigaurd Nielsen and his sister Theresa Marks. Highly successful in the communications field, Peter had worked for Roger's Communications and most recently as Vice-President of Government and Industry Relations with Shaw Communications. Peter's strong negotiating skills and knowl- edge along with his ability to communicate and build strong relationships contributed to his suc- cess in both his business and personal life. Peter's great sense of humour and friendship will be greatly missed by all the lives he has touched. According to Peter's wishes a private cremation has been planned. There will be a visitation at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge (905-852-3073) on Friday, February 7, 2003 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 8, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. In his memory donations are accepted for the Cancer Society or Princess Margaret Hospital. Interment ceremony to be held at a later date.
