Petey, Happy Birthday. The world is more dull without your bright sparkle. I will always marvel at how Pete was able to be both intellectually critical and opinionated, yet deeply inclusive and open-minded. It is rare to meet someone who doesn't have a kind, humorous or admiring word to say about Petey. He was a dear friend while living in Sweden, and I'm incredibly thankful that I was able to reconnect with him a year before his passing. Pete was one of those friends with whom I could talk for hours, color a picture together, dance late into the night and also cry on his shoulder. I am thankful our paths crossed and I will forever be changed by his friendship.
My prayers are with his parents, brothers, family and friends across the world.

Peter enriched the life of St. John’s Youth Group in Ottawa. We are thankful for having shared part of the path together. Janet joins me in sending our heartfelt sympathy and love.

I met Pete in Chile in 2002. We were both exchange students there and were supposed to walk the Inca Trail together, but unfortunately Pete had to cancel that trip. Many years later our paths almost crossed again, weirdly, as I returned to my hometown of Karlskrona to study at MSLS there - and found that Pete had done the same several years earlier. Over the years we've had sporadic contact and I guess I always thought our paths would somehow cross again. He was a person that left an impression. My sincere condolences to Petes family and friends. (The photo is from 2002, before digital cameras, old-school selfie :) )

You always made me laugh! You put crazy thoughts into my head, with your beautiful and brave thinking, and you made me belive they were actually doable.
I miss our conversations tremendously.
Rest in peace my great friend and inspiration.

A short time working with Peter left a BIG impression. His passion, knowledge, drive and exceptional communication skills - always left you feeling you were in safe and in expert hands.
I feel sure he left many, many big impressions on this planet - all of them vastly positive.

I first met Pete in 2010 during our first Art of Hosting Karlskrona. We interviewed him in Aarhus for our Master's thesis on Changemakers learning programs. We met each other again in 2013 Santiago, where he and Nico Arroyo supported the first Social innovation school in Chile, where we also had lunch with our common friend Manuel Manga. His legacy will remain in all the changemakers he inspired, worldwide.

What a loss. I have had the pleasure to meet Pete during one of the climate KIC journeys in 2017. He has been such an inspiring person. It's a pain to hear that such a good person had to leave this planet early. May he rest in peace.

Dear Ann, John, Michael and Andrew. We feel so sad for all of you as you mourn Peter's death. It is heartbreaking to lose a child... or brother. We still think of a towheaded little boy running around, but our 'boys' have told us over the years of Peter's many accomplishments.
