(1933 - 2013)
Peter Swan died peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on July 1st 2013. Peter is the son of the late Minto and Marian (MacNamera) Swan and much loved brother of Doug Swan (Ottawa), Anne Julian (California) and the late Dr. Alan Swan (BC). Cherished husband and best friend of Marion (Tingren). Devoted father to Sandra (Jeremy), Karla (Scott) and the late Eric (Anne). Adoring grandfather to Connor, Bennett, Ella, Beatrice, Abigael and Emily. Treasured uncle to many nieces and nephews. Peter retired from a long career in law in 1994. He was the Chancellor Emeritus of the Anglican Diocese of Ontario. The family will receive friends at The Robert J. Reid & Sons Funeral Home, 309 Johnson St. (at Barrie), Kingston on Monday, July 8th, from 4 - 8 pm. A memorial service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, 41 Church Street, Portsmouth on Tuesday, July 9th at 11 am. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation, in support of KGH or to a charity of your choice.
