Peter THOMAS Obituary
THOMAS, Peter Russell Bell
Peter Thomas passed away suddenly on Friday, January 25, 2002, in Toronto, aged 61. He leaves behind his wife Yvonne, daughter Rhiannon and her husband Bob - his unique spirit will live on in their hearts forever. He was a good friend to Yvonne's daughter Alana and her children Dylan, Bryce and Erica. He will also be missed by his ex-wife and good friend Wendy and her husband Trevor. He will be remembered with great love and affection by his family in Wales and England: brother Noel and wife Mary, sister Louise and husband Bob, niece Sian and nephew Huw and their mother Jacqui, nephew Ben and wife Claudi, and cousins Neil and Alan and families. Peter was a comrade of wit, intellect and warmth to his fellow bon vivants at the Artful Dodger, GSU and Duke of York, and to all his many friends everywhere, including his friends and former colleagues at the University of Toronto Text Bookstore, where he spent most of his working life as a senior manager. Last but not least, he was an indulgent and devoted master to his beloved dog and constant companion Duke. Friends may call at the Sherrin Funeral Home, 873 Kingston Road (near Beech), from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29. The funeral will be a private family service. All friends are invited to a memorial to celebrate Peter's life at the Artful Dodger, on Isabella near Yonge, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 7. As expressions of sympathy, donations in memory of Peter can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
