PHILIP BEDELL Obituary
BEDELL ENGINEERING INC. is deeply saddened to announce the passing of its president and founder, Phil Bedell, BESc., MEsc., P.Eng. Phil passed away peacefully at LHSC – Victoria Hospital on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at the age of 80, following a brief illness. Beloved husband of Nadene (Dickins) Bedell for 57 years. Cherished father of Paul and Renae Bedell, and Ty and Kelly Bedell. Fondly remembered by his good friends and colleagues, Jim Robinson and Gilles Aubertin. Predeceased by his parents, Paul and Irma (Brown) Bedell. Phil was a graduate of Western University (UWO). As a highly respected geotechnical engineer, Philip made significant contributions to many infrastructure projects locally in London, Ontario, and surrounding areas, and also heavy civil and mine waste projects worldwide. He was a dedicated mentor to countless engineers and a passionate advocate for advancing the engineering profession. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched and the work he loved. A private family graveside service will be held at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the South Huron Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
