RYAN, Dr. Philip Archibald On July 22nd 2006 just short of his 93rd birthday, Philip died peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital. Upon graduating from U of T Medical School he joined the Medical Corps and was attached to the 48th Highlanders serving in the UK and continental Europe. Post war he practiced as an allergist, but continued to involve himself with education and running the Outpatients Department of St. Michael's Hospital. He was predeceased by his cherished wife Jessica (Jill), brother Stuart and sister Betty Whitbread. He is survived by his son William, daughter-in- law Jennie, and nephews Hugh, Robin and Stuart. Philip was a proud grandfather to Christopher James Rees. In recent years he lived at Roseglen Retirement Village Port Hope, returning to the town where he grew up. Will & Jennie invite friends and family to honour Philip at their home, 4558 County Rd. 10 Canton (north of Port Hope) on Thursday, July 27th from 4 p.m. onwards. Directions are available at
