GILMAN, Phoebe
Aged 62, passed away on Thursday, August 29th, 2002, in Toronto after a two-year battle with cancer. She is survived by brothers Armand and Mark, husband Brian, daughters Leora and Melissa, step-son Jason, son-in-law Chris, and beloved granddaughters Emily and Ariana. As a renowned children's book author and illustrator, she has brought joy to tens of thousands of children and their families around the world. Phoebe also has a foster child living outside of Canada. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phoebe's memory can be made for her foster child care of: 'Riwoche Society', 28 Heintzman Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M6P 2J6. Please note Phoebe's name and the Godparent program with any donations.
