PHYLLIS IRENE SCOTT 1926 - 2022 Phyllis Scott passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 13 in Peterborough. Devoted wife of 66 years to her husband Bob, who predeceased her in 2017. Loving mother of Susan Scott and Nancy Stewart (David) and adoring grandmother of Lindsay Stewart and John Stewart. Phyllis was an amazingly positive woman, who only saw the best in people and circumstances and was devoted to her family. Committed community volunteer, fabulous hostess, avid gardener and bridge player extraordinaire. She was a gracious, kind and generous woman. Phyllis was the last of her generation of the Valliant family, born January 7, 1926 in Montreal to Robert and Ella Valliant and predeceased by her siblings Melvin Valliant (Sasha), Joyce Armour (Victor) and Robin Barnes. Phyllis also had a special relationship with her many nieces, nephews and their children. We will deeply miss her generosity, unconditional love and radiant smile. The family would like to thank the wonderful people of Royal Gardens for their kind and loving care of Phyllis. There will be a funeral service and reception at St. John's Anglican Church, 99 Brock Street in Peterborough on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Little Lake Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Highland Park Funeral Centre. Donations in Phyllis's memory may be made to St. John's Anglican Church Peterborough.
