PIERRE-JACQUES GUAY Obituary
(April 9, 1926 – October 16, 2025) It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Pierre-Jacques Guay, on October 16, 2025, in his one hundredth year, at his home in Outremont, Quebec. Beloved husband of the late Danièle Geoffrion, Pierre was also predeceased by his parents, J.M. Eugène Guay and Antoinette Guay (born Hénault); his brothers Gilles and Christian; and his sister Micheline. He is survived by members of the Mayrand and Leduc families, along with many dear friends. A graduate of Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, Loyola College, McGill University (B.C.L.), the Sorbonne, and Columbia University (M.B.A.), Pierre led a distinguished career in business and law. He served as Director of several international corporations before co-founding the Montreal law firm Kierans and Guay, where he practiced until retirement. Pierre was a lifelong member of Saint-Germain d'Outremont, a parish whose construction his father helped realize - something that brought him great pride. Over his lifetime, he was honoured as Queen's Counsel (now King's Counsel), received the Canadian Forces' Decoration, and was named Knight Commander of the Order of Saint Lazarus and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (London). Heartfelt thanks to Marilynn Domleo, whose care allowed Pierre to remain at home with dignity. In lieu of flowers, donations to Aux Trois Sentiers would be appreciated. A service will be held at Dignité Centre Funéraire, 4525 chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
