His sister Louise and his brother Marcel have predeceased him. We have had a few times the pleasure of listening to Pierre talking of the various moments of his career; he would say: "During my professional life, I have had the privilege to sit on more than 20 boards of directors of public and private companies, of hospitals, of an important university and of non-profit organisations. The key word that motivated him: "challenge". "What memories!" would he say. "On an horizon of nearly 40 years, I have met many great people. I made many friends. My various successes, I also owe them to the people around me in my work." Appointed Officer of the Order of Canada in 2001, one of our country's highest civilian honours to recognise outstanding achievement, dedication to the community and service to the nation. Pierre Des Marais II O.C. was also honoured of many distinctions. The family thanks the very in touch, respectful and responsible professional team of Groupe Santé Carole Paquette for the palliative care, without forgetting the very warm and thoughtful support of Hélène Martin of Visavie. In compliance with public health guidelines, a small service of close family will be organized at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex. However, you are invited to view the broadcasting of the funeral, Saturday, May 22nd at 1:00 p.m. on the site
