(August 14, 1942 – December 28, 2025) Ralph Jamieson passed away peacefully, on December 28, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of honour, wisdom, and an unwavering devotion to his family. Born on August 14, 1942, Ralph was a man of discipline who spent his life defying the odds and providing a bedrock of support for those he loved. A Life of Determination Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes over 50 years ago, Ralph refused to be defined by his illness. Through determination and the steadfast support of his wife, Pat, he managed his health with a rigour that allowed him to lead a long, full life. This same "raw determination" fueled his professional life, where he became a respected leader in the Canadian roofing industry. Ralph was a groundbreaker in construction safety, advocating for the welfare of workers and treating every employee with dignity, honesty, and fairness. Devotion to Family and Four-Legged Friends To his family, Ralph was a pillar of strength who would do anything for those he loved. He shared a beautiful 62-year marriage with his wife, Pat - a union defined by a depth of devotion that served as an inspiration to all. Beyond his human family, Ralph was an animal lover who always held a special bond with his dogs. He will be missed by his companion, Maud. While Ralph was known for his dry sarcasm and quick wit, he carried great depth of feeling. The recent loss of his youngest son, Jeff, was a profound sorrow, yet he remained the wise, honourable center of his family until the very end. Though it feels as though there is never enough time to prepare for such a moment, the reality of which was years in the making, his family finds comfort in the years of love and protection he provided. Those He Leaves Behind Ralph's memory will be cherished by his devoted wife, Pat; his daughter, Leslie (Chris), grandson, Josh (Mihaela), and great-grandson, Joe; and his son, Marc (Sandra), and grandsons, Caleb, Emmett, and Henry. He is also remembered warmly by his daughter-in-law, Andrea (wife of the late Jeff), and grandchildren, Sarah (Alex) and Ryan; his niece, Tara, and her daughter, Piper; and his beloved dog, Maud. Ralph was predeceased by his parents, Les and Genie; and his sister, Cherith. He is also remembered by his sisters, Nancy and Janet, and his nephews and nieces. Final Honours In accordance with Ralph's wishes, there will be no public funeral. A private family interment will be held to honour his life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Daily Bread Food Bank. Ralph was a man of immense generosity, and supporting this cause would be a fitting tribute to his spirit. Online condolences may be made through
