Ralph SHIFF Obituary

Passed away peacefully, on May 9, 2024, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Judith for 69 years. A loving father and father-in-law to Anne and Mitch, Elliott and Risa, Jonathan and Eve. Devoted grandfather to Andrew and Rebecca, Rachel and Andrew, Naomi and Richard, Carly and Alex, Sam and Ashley, Noam and Noa, Yishai and Rebecca, Ashira and Meron. Proud great-grandfather to Charlie, Gabe, Beatrice, Lillian and Sam. Ralph will be fondly remembered for his quick wit, community service and most of all, devotion to his family. Special thanks to the compassionate staff at Baycrest and Judy de Vera. At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West (3 lights west of Dufferin), for service on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. Interment at Beth Tzedec Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Baycrest Foundation (416-785-2875, www.baycrestfoundation.org).

Ralph had many excellent qualities including a good heart and a very smart mind. What I remember best about him was his quiet - and very intelligent - sense of humour. He seemed alway - at least when I met him, years ago now, but not recently, to put a phrase on a situation to describe it in a witty but, more importantly, deeply discerning way. My condolences to his family.

Dear Shiff family,
Jerry and I are really sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Shiff ( Ralph).
Hearing of his passing brings back so many memories starting in childhood and continuing for so many years of our family with the Shiffs and the whole group of my parents very close friends.
Wishing you much comfort as you process your loss and hold on to your memories.

Deepest condolences to the family. Ralph was a kind man of good humor always had an appropriate joke. Cheerful and Never complained. May his memory be for a blessing.
