Rashmi Gupta

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rashmi Gupta, on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, a beloved wife, mother, and business leader. As Executive Vice President of The Gupta Group, one of Canada's most successful real estate and hospitality development firms, Rashmi played a pivotal role in shaping the company's legacy. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Rashmi was known for her kindness, warmth, and deep commitment to philanthropy. She supported organizations like Toronto Metropolitan University and the Toronto International Film Festival and led humanitarian initiatives in India, including providing eye care for thousands and improving school sanitation. Closer to home, she also played a key role in developing a retirement community in Richmond Hill, Ontario, ensuring seniors had access to quality living and care. Her generosity and compassion touched countless lives. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Steve Gupta; and their four children, Reema Balaram, Reetu, Shelley, and Suraj Gupta. Her love, kindness and legacy will continue to live on through her family and the many lives she impacted.
